Student Review: "For those of y'all who are unaware, the accounting plan at Cal Poly SLO is outstanding. I feel adequately prepared to work in an accounting field once I graduate in June. One of my favorite aspects near the program is that students are trained to carry original research in all different areas of accounting. These areas can include financial, managerial, tax or audit. This really gave me a broad range of diverse experiences that I was exposed to, and I retrieve this is the best grooming I could have asked for when preparing for a career in accounting. In addition nosotros also received training in statistics, economics, behavioral science and finance. Depending on our senior projects, we would option i of these programs as our focus. Lastly, I really felt like my professors were excellent resources during my fourth dimension at Cal Poly as well. I felt very comfy speaking with them during office hours and they were always open up to hearing what I had to say. I would never trade my feel at Cal Poly for anything." -Jocelyn D., student at California Polytechnic Country University

Student Review: "The experience I had at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State) was a mixed pocketbook. The curriculum was not much different than you would find in nearly other MBA or accounting programs but the enjoyment and enrichment of the experience was based on the professor. Ane professor in detail was very condescending toward students and impatient if the textile did not register with the students the kickoff fourth dimension it was explained. She drew upon her existent-world feel; however, information technology felt more similar she used that information to brand sure we knew her previous position prior to teaching rather than relating it to the cloth beingness discussed. She almost completely ruined the experience for me in my outset semester in the MBA program. Fortunately, I did stick it out and every other professor was wonderful, patient, and encouraging. But the reason why I rated the experience a 2 rather than a three or 4 is that while there is a network set upward for futurity opportunities in the field, the department is not peculiarly helpful in profitable y'all seek employment opportunities." -Pupil at California Land University, Fresno

Student Review: "One of the best parts of the accounting program at California State University Fullerton was the faculty involved. All of my professors were very supportive when information technology came to additional counseling. They always held extra function hours, and promptly replied to emails (within 24 hours). The Mihaylo Higher of Business organization and Economics also offered great career counseling and job opportunities. They provided excellent contacts to major and local accounting firms. Events were likewise hosted on campus that allowed recruiters and students to network and build relationships. Although the professors and kinesthesia were e'er immediately available, there was always a shortage of courses to cull from. This often led to students competing for spots to take certain courses, or having to graduate at a after date." -Gilbert V., student at California Country University, Fullerton

Educatee Review: "My feel with the Accounting program at California Country University, Long Embankment was much better than I had initially predictable. I had spent a practiced deal of my early years in higher debating whether or not I wanted to follow through with Bookkeeping, but the professors and peers I met throughout my studies helped solidify my decision and I accept yet to look dorsum with whatever sort of regret. CSULB did a wonderful job providing an aplenty selection of courses to accommodate my changing lifestyle (going from jobless to working during the days fabricated things harder, but luckily they provide night classes) over the years. And, while I may non have made use of them myself, I have heard corking things about the Accounting Society from my peers. They exercise an excellent job providing themselves equally a resource to anyone and everyone in the Bookkeeping major. I went into college nervous, but I exited feeling like I was part of a greater family and my future will exist that much meliorate for it." -Pupil at California Land University, Long Beach

Student Review: "The California Country University, Northridge Bookkeeping program is treating me quite well. I still accept one more twelvemonth to go. But so far, I'm doing pretty well. The classes are challenging, but having great professors similar Professor Basmadzhyan actually help me stay on course. He'due south always helpful during office hours and he has a great way of engaging students in his lectures. In that location are many other wonderful professors, just he'south the one that really stuck out to me. Classes range from 20-30 students to 100-150 students per grade. The giant lecture hall blazon of classes make it harder to really engage with your professor, merely CSUN has handled it well so far.

Aside from professors, the Accounting Clan at CSUN is as well really helpful. They provide task fairs and resume reviews to help you stay on track later graduation. The fee is but $20 to bring together, and you become a lot of benefits from it." -Student at California State Academy, Northridge

All of the classes are very in-depth and the professors have a very hands-on arroyo to learning. I am currently taking a taxation 2 accounting 536 form which is extremely valuable because it involves preparing actual tax returns. This is great hands-on feel that I can have with me into the real world. All of my professors have been very knowledgeable in the subject and accept broken down the complexity of bookkeeping so that I can empathize it. My cost bookkeeping teacher was one of the most helpful professors I've had. He really knew his stuff and took the time to accept me stride-by-step through the process and made sure that I thoroughly understood the subject. Student Review: "I attended California State University, San Bernardino kickoff in 1983. CSUSB was a great school to become an accounting degree for several reasons. I paid my own manner through school, so I lived at home, which was close to campus. I worked full time during the day and attended classes in the evening. This was advantageous for me because the class sizes were typically smaller and the students consisted more of older professionals which gave me a more than real-life feel. I had two professors in the CSUSB Accounting programme who had a pregnant touch on me: Jerry Langham and John Scribner. Both professors' classes were usually very challenging, and they continually encouraged and pushed me to excel beyond what I felt I naturally could. Mr. Langham besides strongly encouraged me to accept the CPA examination before graduating and kickoff a career, where I was certain to piece of work threescore-hour weeks, leaving no time or desire to written report. I followed his advice and passed the entire exam in one sitting. The CSUSB Career Center also arranged several job interviews for me and helped me obtain my first job in public bookkeeping. CSUSB was a bang-up schoolhouse for me in that it was inexpensive, low teacher-to-student ratio, close to home, had an excellent accounting programme and professors who encouraged me, challenged me, and genuinely cared about me and my career development. -Educatee at California State University, San Bernardino

Student Review: "My Experience with this college was absolutely wonderful. I enrolled in 2007 for their Accounting programme and it is extremely helpful in preparing you for the workforce. About importantly, their program is specifically designed to get you on track in passing the CPA test. In that location are a plethora of accounting classes, all of which are sufficiently challenging plenty to button you to very loftier standards. I institute that the instructors at that place are all very knowledgeable and nigh are CPA qualified, and so that helped tremendously when they gave united states management on what to expect on the CPA exam. This plan is not piece of cake, and is sufficiently difficult so that I was able to get so much and learn more than than I had anticipated initially. While local schools similar Stanford and Berkeley are more than prominent, Santa Clara University has a defended accounting major, something fifty-fifty the Haas Schoolhouse of Business at Berkeley cannot claim. The school is pocket-sized, which allows for shut interaction with the professors. The best part of Santa Clara is the shut relationships with the Big 4 auditing firms (who all accept a presence in both San Francisco and Silicon Valley), smaller accounting firms, and large engineering science firms. Information technology is a adequately small program because well-nigh professors failed to keep things interesting in class. Most of the professors teaching accounting classes hold ii jobs. They should technically exist considered more of lecturers than actual professors. The accounting classes always ran late evening to night time. The schedules for these classes are not flexible. Student Review: "The accounting program at USF certainly prepared me for the rigors of the earth of public accounting mail service-graduation. The continuity of education I received from introductory through intermediate and advanced classes provided me with a solid base of knowledge from which to describe when it came fourth dimension to sit for the California CPA exam. Although I am no longer pursuing a career in accounting, I tin't help but reflect fondly on the education I received during my four years at USF. Throughout my entire higher career, my professors served as more than instructors – they were often friends and mentors who provided invaluable career advice and insight that helped me to get to where I am today. If I were to take one dislike about the program, is that it did little to warn united states about what the life of a new accounting grad would be like (that is, starting a career in a major public accounting firm, often right earlier the get-go of busy season)." -Dave A., student at University of San Francisco
